Process Engineer
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Process Engineer to work in Greenville, TX for one of our composite materials manufacturing sites. This plant produces carbon fiber prepreg using resin coating and winding processes. The Process Engineer will lead projects focused on improving safety, reducing waste, and optimizing processes, while supporting new product launches and site upgrades. This role involves hands-on problem solving, data analysis, and collaboration with production teams to ensure efficiency and quality. This role requires strong continuous improvement skills, project management experience, and familiarity with web-handling equipment like slitters and winders. Key Responsibilities: Drive continuous improvement and resolve recurring manufacturing issues. Conduct feasibility studies and implement process optimization. Support capital projects and safety reviews. Partner with production to troubleshoot and improve operations. Occasional travel (15–30%) and flexibility for off-hours work as needed. Skills and Requirements Bachelor of Science degree (Engineering preferred) 5–10 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or process engineering At least 5 years in web handling (load cells, winders, web handling) If experience is primarily in chemical plants, higher expertise is required Background in composite or adhesive material manufacturing, or similar continuous web process industries (paper, film, foil, textiles) Strong continuous improvement experience with proven problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Six Sigma experience Knowledge of quality systems and ISO9001/AS9100 requirements Experience as a production engineer with hands-on troubleshooting and procedure writing Six Sigma Black Belt certification
