Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Process Engineer with experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes with a strong focus on CNC machining. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, analytical, and able to work cross-functionally to ensure continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and safety.
Job Responsibilities
Analyze, design, and implement manufacturing processes to support
production and improve efficiencies.Develop and maintain CNC machining processes and programs(primarily 5-axis) for new and existing parts.
Collaborate with machinists and production staff to troubleshoot process and tooling issues. Evaluate and improve tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and cutting strategies.
Design and document standardized work instructions, setup sheets, and process flows.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality and process issues.
Assist with new product introduction and ensure smooth transition from engineering to production.
Recommend and lead process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, scrap, and downtime.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing
Engineering, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of process engineering experience in a CNC machining environment, Strong understanding of CNC programming (Mastercam or similar) and G-code. Familiarity with GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools. Hands-on experience with manufacturing troubleshooting and process optimization. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Able to work on-site in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
