Job Title: Process Development Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Process Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical ability to synthesize complex information and design effective workflows. With a knack for project management, you will develop and coordinate project plans while ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion. You will also demonstrate thoroughness and accuracy in promoting quality, adaptability to changes, and innovation in developing creative solutions.

Responsibilities

Review and thoroughly understand product functional and design specifications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust manufacturing and inspection methods.Provide oversight of process development projects.Work with external vendors to ensure understanding of project requirements and timelines.Engage with customers to ensure the project timeline and critical features of the product are understood.Convey project timelines and requirements to the internal team.Collaborate with operational and quality leadership teams to ensure resource requirements are understood and met for each project.Ensure robust process hand-off with manufacturing and quality engineers.Maintain communication and oversight of projects in production, including project update meetings with required engineers and supervision.Provide monthly project updates to management.Understand internal and customer qualification requirements and oversee execution of varying complexity, including First Article Inspections, OQ, PQ, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and Customer PPAP.Perform process characterization studies to ensure robust quality and meet cost targets, including statistical process control analysis as required.Potentially travel to key vendors to support vendor audits or conduct root cause analysis for quality issues.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in root cause analysis, quality engineering, and validation.Experience in medical device and regulated industry.5-10 years of experience in process development, new product development, process improvement, design, and development.Familiarity with new technologies or equipment, including developing SOPs for new equipment and training operators.Hands-on experience in production or process development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in a related field.7-15 years’ experience.Commitment to excellence and high standards.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Carteret, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
