POSITION SUMMARY:
The El Paso Refinery has an opening for a Process Controls Specialist. This position will report directly to the Process Control Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Designs, implements, and maintains process control strategies to optimize unit performance and reliability.
+ Troubleshoots and resolves control system issues, including hardware, software, and network components.
+ Collaborates with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to resolve operational challenges. Develops and maintains relationships with console operators.
+ Maintains and optimizes Honeywell Experion PKS and TDC 3000 DCS platforms, including configuration, troubleshooting, and system upgrades to support safe and efficient refinery operations.
+ Maintain and support Triconex SIS and Rockwell Automation PLCs, including logic modifications, and testing.
+ Develops and maintains control narratives, logic diagrams, and system documentation.
+ Manages controls-related projects, including scope development, vendor coordination, and commissioning.
+ Develop, modify, and maintain operator graphics and HMIs for DCS, SIS, PLC, and SCADA systems in accordance with refinery standards
+ Maintain and troubleshoot industrial networks.
+ Provides on-call and outage/turnaround support for control systems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Associate's Degree in Electrical or Instrument Technology or High School Diploma or GED with five (5) years relevant experience required. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)
+ Two (2) years or more of experience with industrial control systems required.
+ A valid Driver's License is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Proficiency in Honeywell Experion, and TDC3000.
+ Previous Refining Process Controls experience.
