Job Title: Process Controls Engineer
Job Description
As a Lead Process Instrumentation Engineer, you will utilize your engineering skills to develop field instrumentation datasheets, instrument lists, instrument rack lists, and specifications. You will also be responsible for creating instrument installation details related to the BWRX-300 SMR Instrumentation Design scope. Your primary focus will be on the design integration of field pipe mount and rack-mounted instrumentation with GEV control hardware systems. You will collaborate with other engineers and technical leads to develop innovative designs that define the necessary instrumentation modifications for various SMR BWRX-300 nuclear plant systems, including HVAC, ICS, Nuclear Boiler Instrumentation, Reactor Water Cleanup, Turbine Controls, and Fuel Pool Cooling. You are expected to execute projects of varying complexity across different project phases under the guidance of engineers and technical leads. This role demands strong engineering and technical skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams globally to execute the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor design, focusing on safety, world-class quality, and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
Develop field instrumentation datasheets, instrument lists, and rack lists.Create specifications and instrument installation details for BWRX-300 SMR Instrumentation Design.Integrate field pipe mount and rack-mounted instrumentation with GEV control hardware systems.Collaborate with engineers and technical leads to innovate design solutions.Define instrumentation modifications for systems such as HVAC, ICS, Nuclear Boiler Instrumentation, and more.Execute projects of varying complexity in different phases with guidance from engineers.Focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery in design execution.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, automation engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience with a strong understanding of electrical systems, P&IDs, process instrumentation, and control systems.Ability to learn different BWRX-300 SMR Systems.Willingness to work on new I&C systems and develop expertise in GE Vernova policies, procedures, and standards.Effective time management and multitasking ability.Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Global mindset with a willingness to understand different cultures and work collaboratively.Strong technical aptitude with applicable engineering tools and systems.Experience in a regulated industry under 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Quality Program or equivalent for safety-related systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in industries such as nuclear power, process, marine, medical/pharmaceutical, or oil & gas.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
