We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated, and service-oriented individual to join our sales team, focusing on selected segments within the institutional investor and family office community.
This Sales Specialist role will be responsible for originating new business as well as maintaining existing client relationships for MSCI Private Capital suite of products. Travel may be required within the designated sales territory to meet with clients/prospects regarding new products as well as enhancements to existing products. The role entails positioning and closing sales with prospective clients, and upselling existing clients. Sales Specialists leverage their in-depth knowledge of the investment management process to identify needs and opportunities.
This role is highly visible, with involvement in all aspects of an account, including senior level relationship management, product demonstrations, contract negotiation, sales closing, and ongoing relationship management. In this role, individuals will work very closely with Sales Management, Relationship Management, Client Service, Product Management, Legal, and Sales Operations.

Your Key ResponsibilitiesAchieve targeted quarterly and annual new net sales goals from clientsDevelop strategic sales plan for allocated sales territoryDevelop strong sales pipeline for each allocated country and industry segmentLead client engagement, needs assessment, and solution pitches for clients across your coverage territoryHigh-level contact with clients/prospects and other major industry participantsAddress client inquiries regarding products and solutionsMaintain accurate records regarding account visits, client conversations, finalized contractsWork seamlessly with other departments (Client service, Research, Product Management, Legal, Billing) to ensure that all client requests and inquiries are managed appropriatelyProactively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product developmentProvide feedback from clients to Marketing, Sales, Research and Product Development groupYour skills and experience that will help you excel4-7 years of meeting and exceeding sales targets while selling to institutional clientsStrong financial knowledge and experienceProven institutional sales closing skills and demonstrable track record in business developmentSuperior time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projectsUnderstanding of and in-depth experience dealing with major financial institutions, especially institutional investorsStrong understanding of financial markets and the investment processStrong demonstrated institutional sales experience which includes having worked in financial servicesExcellence in both individual achievement as well as teamwork with a diverse set of departmentsBachelor's Degree Required; MBA or Masters Degree preferredExcellence in spoken and written English is required.
