What is the opportunity?

We are currently seeking a trusted strategic Private Banker who will meet the complex financial needs of Very High Net Worth (VHNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients. You will be an accredited professional delivering the Black Card Experience to VHNW and UHNW Clients, focused on Private Banking’s core value proposition of wealth and investments planning, credit, cash management, and day-to-day banking. You will be responsible for bringing new VHNW and UHNW clients to RBC by building a strong network in your local market while growing and deepening existing client relationships through discovery and advice. You will also be focused on winning as One RBC by introducing clients to the right solutions, partners and capabilities at the right time, to help meet client needs both within Private Banking and across RBC globally.

What will you do?

Deliver an exceptional client experience to steer and grow VHNW and UHNW client relationships within your portfolio of clients providing strategic relationship management and proactive advice to high-net-worth households following all five principles of the Black Card Experience.Be an advocate for the client and steward for enterprise resources winning as One RBC putting clients at the centre and bring the full power of RBC such as  Investments and Wealth Management for long-term investment advice, or Commercial Banking for a business relationshipAcquire new relationships by building a strong network in your local market while growing and deepening existing client relationships through discovery and advice, introducing clients to the right solutions, partners, and capabilities at the right time, to help meet client needs both within Private Banking and across RBC.Ensure portfolio quality and complianceLead the client relationship team introducing the Private Banking Associate and Manager Credit Structures as a key partners, respecting and reinforcing role clarity, to deliver exceptional day-to-day banking services, and as the credit expert for credit advice and solutions to meet the needs of the client household.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in providing advice and credit solutions to high-net-worth clients in personal and commercial banking.University degree in business, finance, banking or equivalent qualifications.IFIC completed or ability to complete within 12 monthsOne of the Professional designations of CFA, CPA, Masters in relevant discipline,  LL.B., Family Enterprise AdvisorsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional client relationship management skillsStrong negotiation and influence skillsThorough understanding of high-net-worth financial sales and client relationship management

Nice to Have:

Successful completion of Wealth Management Essential or Certification in Wealth Management (CIWM) designation under Moody’s/Canadian Securities Institute
