Print Shop Operator

Position Responsibilities:

Process multiple production job orders daily and plan jobs for most efficient production run to meet deadlinesCoordinate and manage job orders and project assignments from preflight to delivery while reviewing job submission and spec requirements, requisitioning materials, and following department guidelinesWork closely with graphic artists and department leaders to obtain necessary approvals to ensure high quality and legal complianceEnsures press operation by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniquesPerform printer maintenance, including substrate loading, ink loading, and cleaningManage approved jobs through to completion, working with the chosen vendor to deliver the project on time and to a high standardEnter job orders in management information system and create shipping labelsMaintain all appropriate paperwork and backup for invoicing purposesOther projects or duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree and 0 to 2 years of related experienceAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlinesStrong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of print production ordersAbility to follow department standard operating procedures and take direction from department leaders

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

Associate's DegreeExperience in operating and maintaining digital printing equipmentDetailed knowledge of creating and amending digital files in Adobe Creative Suite, In-Design, and Photoshop and other similar pre-press formats for printing
