Pay Range
$59.00 - $88.50Major ResponsibilitiesServes as the enterprise-level escalation point for major network incidents, guiding cross‑functional teams through complex troubleshooting and recovery efforts.Provides enterprise roadmap input for network operations technologies, aligning long‑term engineering direction with Advocate Health’s strategic goals.Leads technical governance for network operational standards, ensuring consistency across regions and technology domains.Reviews and validates high‑level architectural proposals to ensure operational viability, supportability, and lifecycle alignment.Identifies and executes opportunities for automation and orchestration, including Catalyst Center, ACI, SD‑WAN, and cloud networking workflows.Develops or oversees the development of advanced engineering runbooks, diagnostics, and toolsets to elevate operational maturity across the enterprise.Applies deep understanding of network telemetry, assurance platforms, and performance analytics to drive proactive issue identification and resolution.Leads enterprise‑wide technology evaluations, pilots, and proofs‑of‑concept for emerging network operations technologies.Mentors Senior and Intermediate engineers, providing guidance on deep-dive troubleshooting, enterprise thinking, and cross‑platform systems design.Leads internal technical learning sessions and contributes to the development of enterprise knowledge libraries and engineering standards.Serves as the technical authority for network operations in executive‑level or cross‑organizational discussions.Configure, install, maintain and troubleshoot complex local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems including multi-layer switching, routing, and wireless in an enterprise environment utilizing primarily Cisco network products. Position requires advanced configuration and support of BGP and OSPF routing, Quality of Service, Access Control Lists, wireless LAN controller implementations, wireless survey tools, IP Address Management Platform (Infoblox), Load Balancing (F5), etc.Minimum Job RequirementsEducation
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Information Technology or related fieldCertification / License
