Principal Workday Technical Analyst
**Job Description** The Principal Workday Technical Analyst is the organization’s senior expert for Workday Financial Integrations, responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering highly complex, mission critical technical solutions across the enterprise. This role ensures Workday Financials is fully leveraged by leading end to end integration development, driving technical strategy, and partnering with Finance, IT, and cross functional stakeholders. This position provides deep expertise in integration design using Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors; oversees technical governance; ensures system stability; and delivers scalable, secure, well architected solutions that optimize financial operations and data flows. **What You’ll Do** + Lead architecture and development of complex Workday integrations supporting General Ledger, AP, AR, Banking, Suppliers, Assets, and other Finance functional areas. + Build and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and other Workday integration frameworks. + Perform technical integration testing, end‑to‑end validation, and interoperability assessments across internal and external financial systems. + Serve as the primary technical consultant for Workday Financials, ensuring solutions align with overall enterprise architecture and integration standards. + Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and integration plans. + Partner with Finance, Accounting, IT, and external technology teams to clarify needs, assess options, and deliver high‑impact solutions. + Mentor and develop junior‑level Workday integration developers, providing guidance on integration design, best practices, troubleshooting, and coding standards. + Provide expert guidance and mentorship to Workday integration developers and technical analysts. + Ensure Workday Financial integrations run reliably, meeting or exceeding performance and data‑quality expectations. + Drive root‑cause analysis, lead resolution strategies, and manage technical escalations for financial integration issues. + Perform peer reviews, provide final technical sign‑off for integration‑related deliverables, and enforce coding and architectural standards. + Plan, scope, and implement technical integration infrastructure needed to support Finance business objectives. + Evaluate solution feasibility, risks, and technical costs, ensuring stakeholders understand options and impacts. + Deliver timely, cost‑effective, production‑ready integrations that support new initiatives, enhancements, and enterprise programs. + Work independently and lead multiple technical streams simultaneously across Finance projects. + Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline Workday Financial integrations and related business processes. + Research and prototype emerging technologies, Workday enhancements, and integration‑layer improvements. + Develop reusable frameworks, integration patterns, and monitoring approaches to increase efficiency and reliability. **What You Bring** + Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required) + 8+ years of experience in related field. + In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field. **Bonus Points** + Experience mentoring junior or mid-level Workday analysts + Experience in Finance specific integration + Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, Prism Analytics, and Workday Extend **What You’ll Get** + The opportunity to work at the cutting edge of health care delivery with a team that’s deeply invested in the community. + Work-life balance, flexibility, and the autonomy to do great work. + Medical, dental, and vision coverage along with numerous health and wellness programs. + Parental leave and support plus adoption and surrogacy assistance. + Career development programs and tuition reimbursement for continued education. + 401k match including an annual company contribution  **Salary Range** At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
