The Principal Technical Product Manager will drive strategic product initiatives across EZCORP's technology ecosystem while serving as a senior technical advisor and mentor to business analysts across the organization. Operating at the macro level, this individual contributor role is responsible for managing release trains that align to the product roadmap and can assist in product roadmap development, serving as the bridge between business strategy, technology capabilities, and customer needs. The Principal Technical Product Manager will work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, operations, and executive leadership to deliver transformative solutions that advance the company's digital transformation and competitive positioning. This role will provide guidance, best practices, and hands-on support to business analysts, helping them effectively gather requirements, analyze business processes, and contribute to successful product delivery across multiple business units and customer segments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and coordinate release trains that align with the product roadmap, ensuring on-time delivery and quality standardsProvide input and assistance to product roadmap planning for assigned technology domains, aligning with company objectivesProvide mentorship, coaching, and technical guidance to business analysts on requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder managementCollaborate with business teams to translate market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights into product strategy and opportunities for innovationCollaborate with engineering and architecture teams to evaluate technical feasibility, make build-vs-buy decisions, and define scalable solutionsDevelop and maintain standardized frameworks, templates, and best practices for business analysis and requirements documentationDrives business requirements into detailed technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria, partnering with business analysts as neededLead cross-functional product development initiatives from conception through launch within assigned release trainsFacilitate knowledge sharing sessions and training for business analysts on product management methodologies and technical conceptsEstablish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to measure product impact and drive continuous improvementEngage directly with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, manage expectations, and communicate product strategyPrioritize features and enhancements based on business value, technical dependencies, resource constraints, and MVP definitionPartner with data teams to leverage analytics and insights for data-driven product decisionsReview and provide feedback on business analyst deliverables to ensure quality and alignment with product strategyManage vendor relationships and third-party integrations for enterprise software solutionsLead product demonstrations, training sessions, and change management initiatives to drive adoptionServe as an escalation point for complex technical or business questions from business analystsStay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in product management and share insights with the broader team

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred7-10 years of product management or business analysis experience in technology or software development environmentsProven track record of delivering complex, enterprise-scale products from concept to launchStrong technical background with ability to engage in detailed architecture and implementation discussionsExperience mentoring, coaching, or providing guidance to junior product managers or business analystsExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Aha!, ProductBoard, etc.)Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive consensus without direct authorityExcellent analytical skills with experience using data to inform product decisionsOutstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to executive audiencesExperience developing frameworks, standards, and best practices for product or business analysis functionsExperience in financial services, fintech, or retail technology preferredKnowledge of API design, cloud platforms, data architecture, and modern software development practicesProfessional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO, SAFe, or similar preferred
