About the Job:

The Technical Product Manager is responsible for defining and driving the product vision, roadmap, and execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric software solutions and meet business objectives. Requires familiarity with Agile development methodologies and best practices, service-oriented architecture, and product analytics.

What you'll do:

Develop technical product vision and strategy by understanding customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

Define and prioritize the technical product roadmap by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business, architecture, UX, and other product managers. Guide product development by defining and communicating detailed software product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Ensure technical product viability, desirability, and alignment with business goals by establishing success criteria and monitoring product performance.

Work closely with Architecture and Engineering on technical design and to identify and manage critical dependencies.

Support trade-off discussions, negotiations, and alignment on feature prioritization, technical solutions, and timing with stakeholders.

Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience throughout the product lifecycle.

Participate in sprint planning and support feature refinement, addressing questions and providing guidance as needed.

Act as a subject matter expert and acknowledged authority within the organization for assigned product(s) or product line(s).

Experience leading initiatives that span multiple technical product lines or platforms, mentoring less experienced product managers, and working closely with leadership to shape their org's overall technical product strategy.

This role will primarily be on initiatives that impact the Consumer Commissions application. The Consumer Commissions Product team supports 5-6 scrum teams developing different parts of the Commissions suite of applications.

Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View:

Develop and execute strategies for Consumer Commissions to align application roadmaps with company goals.

Partner with product owners on commissions applications.

Work with engineering, design, and compensation teams for smooth product delivery.

Join daily scrums as needed to address developer and QA questions.

Define and prioritize features and enhancements based on feedback and research.

Maintain product roadmaps and update stakeholders.

Analyze KPIs to track app success and identify improvements.

Build strong relationships with partners to boost adoption and satisfaction

What you'll Need:

At least 3-5+ years in a Product Management role.


Preferred Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.


A good balance in technical savviness and business acumen with an ability to dive into the details as well as having a broad strategic thinking.


Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and act on trends and opportunities.


Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information to diverse audiences.


Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at various levels within an organization. 


Extremely important to understand the complexities of software development and the day-to-day activities/needs of software developers and testers.

Familiarity with agile development methodologies and product management tools.

Knowing when to follow the process and when to work around the processes in paramount.


Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently, but also with other product members, as well as developers and testers is a necessity. 

Experience with commissions processes and commissions applications is desired. 

What you’ll bring:

Preferred technical Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Experience working with highly technical software products.

Our Principal Tech Product Mgr, earns between $141,300-$211,900 USD Annual Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
