The ideal candidate will excel both independently and collaboratively. This position holds full ownership of deal term development, deal modeling, partner engagement, and serves as the primary escalation point for complex contract negotiations. The role reports directly to the AVP of Tower Strategy and works closely with VP and officer-level leadership.

What you’ll do:

Industry Analysis: Proactively lead comprehensive evaluations of the wireless network infrastructure sector to identify and spearhead high-impact strategic initiatives that drive significant market disruption

Financial Modeling: Create comprehensive financial models and conduct in-depth evaluations of business cases

Negotiations: Drive the development and execution of innovative leasing strategies for network asset collocation, securing optimal terms that advance organizational objectives

Executive Presentations: Prepare clear and impactful executive presentations that outline program goals, advantages, and risks to support informed, data-driven decision-making

Corp Development Interface: Work closely with Corporate Development to explore Private Equity partnerships, shape engineering solutions, enhance business cases, and secure executive endorsement for transformative market programs

Cross-functional Leadership: Engage with teams across engineering, finance, accounting policy, and legal departments to design and implement strategic initiatives

What you’ll need:

Financial Modeling: Demonstrated expertise in building complex, dynamic financial models using Excel and complementary analytical tools to support detailed forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic decision-making

Private Equity Insight: Strong understanding of private equity perspectives on financial expectations and valuation criteria

Wireless Engineering Expertise: Proven expertise in wireless engineering principles, technologies, and industry standards, with the ability to apply this knowledge to evaluate solutions and influence negotiations

Network Project Management: Proven network project management experience in the wireless infrastructure industry

What you’ll bring:

Required Experience:

8-10 years’ experience; Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role

Desired Education:

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, or Math preferred

MBA preferred

Our Principal Engineering & Business Lead earns between $128,400 - $192,600 annually.  Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
