Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) in Aurora, CO.
What you’ll get to do?
We have an opening for a Systems Engineering on contract to deliver ground segment for restricted space program. Selected candidates will be supporting program leadership and the customer to define and maintain the technical baseline. Additionally, you will develop ground segment simulator and/or sample sensor data products to facilitate an end-to-end data lake and GCS demonstration in the AWS C2S environment.
As a Systems Engineer, you will be a part of a team of engineers that define, develop, decompose, analyze, verify, and validate requirements. Additionally, you may be called upon to support a variety of program milestones such as System Requirement Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), and/or Critical Design Reviews (CDR).

Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer:
5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 0 years of relevant experience with a PhDWorking knowledge of systems engineering principles and processesExperience using Python to orchestrate test casesBackground using test management and automation tool like ZephyrKnowledge of Behavior-Driven Development framework, BehaveGeneral cloud computing practices (AWS is a plus)Experience with KubernetesActive Top Secret / SCI at time of application; willing to submit to a polygraphBasic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Systems Engineer:

Familiarity with ground segment designDemonstrated experience quickly learning new concepts and approachesWorking knowledge of the Atlassian tool suitegRPC experience is a plusExcellent technical writing and team building skillsSalary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
