The Strategic Space System Division is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (Level 3) or Senior Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (Level 4) to join our team onsite at Redondo Beach, CA. This position can be filled with either level based on qualifying years of experience.

This position will be contingent upon capturing program award and obtaining customer funding. Also, active DoD Secret clearance is required on Day 1.

Role and Impact:

Sources and procures specialized goods and servicesOwns contractual management for the supplierResponsible for source selection from contract proposal to execution phasesCoordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-usersDevelops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or servicesPrepares bid packages, conducts bidders conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontractsIn conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules. Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiationsManages performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulationsEmploys sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activitiesEnsures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation& warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recordedManages and develops strategic/key suppliersReviews and approves supplier payment as needed. Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications: 

Level 3: Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management and/or relatable business experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience; in lieu of degree an additional 4 years of relatable experience Level 4: Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management and/or relatable business experience or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience; in lieu of degree an additional 4 years of relatable experienceExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)Strong SAP or other ERP system experienceWorking knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulationsActive DoD Secret Clearance at time of application

Active Top Secret or SCI clearanceInternational Supplier Subcontract/Procurement experience Strong negotiation skillsUnderstanding of price analysis methodsLed a team; ability to mentor/guide othersFamiliar with development programsFamiliar with planning/scheduling

Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00Salary Range 2: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
