Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Principal Quality Analyst or Sr Principal Quality Analyst with experience in quality, manufacturing or inventory to join our team in Sykesville, MD.

In this role you will be the Vendor Material Disposition Area (VMDA) Coordinator performing or assuring quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements to support multiple programs. Qualified candidates work as part of a team, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, possess the ability to plan and be customer-support focused. Individuals must also have demonstrated ability to evaluate whether documents, instructions and procedures are being followed during execution and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. This position is full-time on site.

Principal Quality Analyst/Sr Principal Quality Analyst

Responsibilities Include:

Vendor Material Disposition Area (VMDA) Coordinator who tracks and manages all non-conforming material moving in and out of VMDA to support multiple programs.Ensure that performance, products, and services conform to established company, customer, and regulatory standards.Document and process F2 QNs and bring the associated material into conformance to be released back into inventory and production.Report VMDA metrics during weekly SQDCM meetings and monthly PCAB to site-wide management.Lead bi-weekly meeting with cross-functional team to work aging QNs.Sentinel Alert Coordinator who reviews Sentinel Alerts for applicability to the site.Review vendor test data for accuracy according to purchase order requirements for multiple programs.

This position will either be filled at the Principal or Senior Principal level

Basic Qualifications Principal Quality Analyst:

A Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or at least 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's. 9 or more years of experience in quality or manufacturing of in lieu of a degree.Must have complete understanding of technical data and blueprints.Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) standards

Basic Qualifications Sr Principal Quality Analyst:

A Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience, at least 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree. 12 or more years of quality or manufacturing experience in lieu of a degree.Must have complete understanding of technical data and blueprints.Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) standards

Required for both levels:

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.)Experience working in an AS9100 or ISO9001 compliant organization Experience in Quality Management Systems

Preferred Qualifications:

VMDA training & experienceContinuous ImprovementExperience in developing or reviewing Root Cause / Corrective Action activitySAP experience and inventory knowledge for tracking and managing materialExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate in a team environment

Salary Range: $87,000.00 - $130,600.00Salary Range 2: $108,400.00 - $162,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
