Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Planning and Scheduling Analyst. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Strategic Deterrent Systems Engineering Homeroom's effort to schedule out and aid in planning its organizational initiatives and projects related to people, process, and tool improvements for the 3,500+ person technical organization. This position may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications listed below.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparing, developing and coordinating the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all organizational objectives
Ensuring organizational schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated
Implementing scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry
Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
Critical Path Analysis
Perform Schedule risk analyses and work with the manager to resolve risky schedules, critical path issues, and network logic conflicts
Perform thorough project analysis through metrics reviews and predictive analysis to enhance cost, schedule, and technical performance
Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas
Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA)
Schedule Performance, Health Metrics and Analysis
Provides weekly status and reporting
Tracking plans and schedules
Creating, maintaining and validating Schedule data
Performing risk analysis
Identifying and resolving critical path and network logic conflicts.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications
This position may be filled at a Principal level or Sr. Principal level
Requires a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related professional experience; a master’s degree with 3 years’ experience; a PhD with 1 year of experience; or a High School diploma (or equivalent) with 9 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. (Sr. Principal level requires a bachelor’s and 8 years; a master’s and 6 years; a PhD and 4 years; or a HS diploma and 12 years)
Requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Requires experience in Microsoft (MS) Project, and/or Schedule Risk Assessment software tools
Requires experience with Microsoft Excel (Macro / VBA)
Preferred Qualifications
Active DoD Secret level security clearance (with the investigation in the past 6 years)
Experienced with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
Strong PC Skills
Strong analytical ability
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00Salary Range 2: $107,800.00 - $161,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
