Northrop Grumman CWI division, IBCS Synchronization team is seeking a Synchronization Engineer whom will Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analysis is performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. This is a on-site position located in Huntsville Alabama.
Synchronization Engineers are responsible for having the knowledge to properly identify the high-level tasks needed to enable IBCS development synchronization. These key positions will ensure HW and SW capabilities mature to support on time deliveries of Major End Items and support the fielded systems with a customer-centric approach.
The Synchronization Engineer specific responsibilities include:
· Manage scheduled integration points across the IBCS program
· Mentor Junior Sync Engineers and provide direction in accordance with the Sync Lead
· Identify dependencies between the HW and SW ARTs
· Build and maintain the following in Jira and Confluence:
o Program Roadmap
o Project plans
o Product and release backlogs
o Work dependency list
· Facilitate and assist in maintaining a product testing roadmap
· Participates in the following:
o Daily Program Scrums
o Product Owner Synchronization Meeting
o Executive Action Team
o Backlog Refinement
o Mission Synchronization Meeting
o Solutions Sync Meeting
o HW/SW Working Group Synchronization Meeting
o Configuration Control Board
· Serve as a customer interface point
· Identification and mitigation of program and production risks
· Coordination of cross-team activities and planning to include:
o ECP Testing
o Acceptance Testing
o Program Increment Planning
