Role Overview
OpenText is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Security Principal Solutions Consultant to join our Application Security Solutions Consulting team in Europe. This role is pivotal in driving strategic customer sales engagements, leading technical solutioning efforts including demonstrations and presentations of the solutions, proof-of-concepts and similar pre-sale activities. You will work closely with Account Executives, Product Management, Partner Account Managers, Professional Services and Engineering to deliver compelling customer-tailored solutions and ensure successful adoption of our Application Security platform.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical discovery sessions with prospects and customers to understand their security challenges and requirements.Design and present tailored Application Security solutions that align with customer needs and objectives.Deliver compelling product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and technical workshops.Identify the growth path and scalability options of a solution and participate in the architectural design.Advance opportunities using effective consultative selling techniquesActively identifies opportunities to assist peers globally in area of expertise (e.g., writing white-papers).Mentor and coach junior Solutions Consultants, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.Collaborate with the Senior Manager to define team strategy, goals, and development plans.Act as a technical escalation point for complex customer scenarios.Partner with Sales and Partner Account Managers to drive pipeline growth and conversion through strategic technical support.Work with Product Management to provide feedback and influence roadmap based on customer insights.Support Marketing with thought leadership, webinars and event participation.Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape and emerging technologies in Application Security.Represent OpenText at industry events, conferences and customer forums.QualificationsProven experience (8+ years) in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering or Pre-Sales in the Application Security domain.Deep understanding of Application Security Testing concepts including SAST, DAST, SCA, API Security and DevSecOps practices.Deep understanding and ability to explain the nature of key application security attacks flow and vulnerabilities for Web Applications and APIs.Demonstrated ability to work as the lead for large complex projects at a regional levelStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.Experience leading technical teams and mentoring peers.Fluent in English; Swedish, Danish and Finnish language skills are an important advantage.Willingness to travel within the Nordics and across Europe, and occasionally to North America.Preferred SkillsHands-on experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (OWASP, NIST, DORA).Software Development experience and good familiarity with the main modern programming languages, software development concepts and frameworks.Experience with enterprise software sales cycles and customer success strategies.What We OfferCompetitive compensation and benefits package.Opportunities for career growth and leadership development.A collaborative and inclusive team culture.Access to cutting-edge technologies and training.
