Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking Principal / Senior Principal Configuration Mgmt. Support Systems Engineer.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Program/System Level role, member of Configuration Mgmt. team within Directorate of Engineering.
Supports the Program/System CM organization, primarily supporting System CM, and some engagement with CM teams within the multiple IPTs/Segments that make up the Program. Provide CM services and support various Review Boards. Execute CM processes; support internal audits; and enable configuration control of all CIs.
This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area OR Redondo Beach, CA.
This requisition may be filled as a Principal Configuration Mgmt. Support Systems Engineer. or Senior Principal Configuration Mgmt. Support Systems Engineer.
This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers’ requirements.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Configuration Mgmt. Support Systems Engineer:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with at least 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master's Degree; OR 1 years with a PhD
Progressive experience with the Change Control Board process and supporting Engineering Change Boards and Change Control Boards (CCB’s)
Experience with MBSE and Requirements management tools, such as Cameo and DOORS
Expertise with Project & Task Management tools: Jira or Confluence
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally inside the organization
Experience managing design drawings, engineering changes and design/configuration audits
Ability to read and understand drawings of piece parts and structure assemblies
Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong executive briefing skills
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
Current active DoD TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph

Experience managing design drawings, engineering changes and design/configuration audits
Ability to read and understand drawings of piece parts and structure assemblies

Preferred Qualifications for Principal / Senior Configuration Mgmt. Support Systems Engineer:
Current active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
Experience in Teamcenter, CPLM PLM tool, Enovia, Windchill, and/or Costpoint or similar tools
Domain knowledge of Configuration Mgmt. standards such as MIL-HDBK-61A &/or EIA-649B &/or EIA-649-1
Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 requirements, standards, and compliance issues
Awareness of specialty engineering, modeling and testing tools, such as: MATLAB, Python, Cypress, Cadence Assura or Siemens Calebre
Primary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
