Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal / Senior Principal Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.
This position is responsible for the planning and coordinating preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processesAnalyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and systemCoordinates modification records for management controlEstablishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractorReviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activitiesSupport program configuration and data management requirements.We offer flexible work arrangements, 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. Basic Qualifications (Principal):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree AND 5 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master’s degree AND 3 year of related professional/military experienceYour ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.Basic Qualifications (Senior Principal):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree AND 8 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master’s degree AND 6 year of related professional/military experienceYour ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.Preferred Qualifications:
Active in scope Top Secret clearance.Knowledge of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61A.Perform Technical Review Board and Configuration Control Board activities supporting baseline activities.Establish agendas, publish minutes & track meeting actions.Process change packages through lifecycle including disposition & documentation / hardware implementation.Perform program data release functions via Product Lifecycle Management tools.Data management for deliverable CDRLs, non-CDRL documents and SDRLsKnowledge of Jira, Confluence and SharePointAbility to work under limited supervision.Ability to work with individuals at all levels including management, peers, and outside customers.Experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirementsExcellent organizational skills to include the ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesExcellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees, management and outside customers.Understanding of configuration management principles / best practices to include management of contract and supplier data#AS-FA3
Primary Level Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $147,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
