Key roles and responsibilities:

-Performs network design activities for radio access network (RAN). Analyzes, Designs, Traffic Forecasting and Optimizes Wireless Network to drive improvements in functionality, performance, and efficiency.

-Uses propagation models, predictive analysis, various tools/processes, and engineering principles to make additions and changes to the network in support of the organization’s strategic objectives.

-Creates design plans for network expansion and/or modification.

-Collaborates with multiple teams to ensure engineering designs are implemented as intended and to ensure quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.

-Conducts research and trials to work through new developments and innovations. Tests, collects, and analyzes data and modifies the wireless network as needed without oversite. Includes GIS (Geographic Information Systems) activities involving the analysis of RAN data to create design plans to improve all key indexes and performance indicators. Presents to leadership on research, trials, and conclusions.

Our Principal RAN Design Engineering, earns between $143,800-$215,800 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
