This position will be in_ **_Rolling Meadows, IL._** _The_ **_Principal Quality Analyst/Quality Analyst_** _will support the implementation of program quality plans and procedures under the direction of Program Quality Engineers and Quality Management._ **_Perform the following functions in support of sector Programs:_** + _Reports and processes MRB defects, as required._ + _Performs FOD (Foreign Object Damage) and MTI (Manufacturing to Inspection) Audits_ + _Supports/manages the corrective action process._ + _Perform physical inspections of product with common inspection devices (calipers/micrometers/height gauges/profilometer) in accordance with identified technical requirements._ + _Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, and customer representatives to ensure requirements are met._ + _Coordinate metric reporting and analysis in support of monthly and annual organizational objectives_ + _Support/lead campus compliance activities specifically related to internal procedures and AS9100_ **_Competencies for Success:_** + _Ability to apply basic problem-solving skills_ + _Ability to deal with problems involving inputs and variables throughout the processes._ + _Demonstrated ability to read and interpret written procedures._ + _Ability to follow standard work._ + _Ability to manage multiple tasks and areas of focus._ + _Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from area managers, vendors, and customers._ **_Responsibilities may include the following:_** + _Collect, analyze, and report data to assist the quality engineer and management in assessing measures of performance._ + _Support projects and processes that ensure continuous improvement of value to our customers and market segments._ + _Create organizational value by implementing innovative solutions and best practices involved in all processes of the product realization value stream._ + _Assist Quality Engineers with inspection definitions and supplier requirements._ + _Observe and identify improvement opportunities to Mission Assurance Engineering for discrepancy items and reporting._ + _Verify process control activities and report deficiencies as appropriate._ + _Initiate quality alerts for potential processes and product discrepancies that may affect performance._ + _Assist Mission Assurance Engineers with root cause analysis investigations and corrective action development._ + _Support Mission Assurance Engineers in conducting Corrective Action Review Board activities._ + _Investigate internal audit-related findings and help coordinate activities to resolve issues._ + _Ensure team tasking with quality management and support staff to develop solutions to help manage variability._ + _Support the administration of the Quality Management System Documentation and Record Control processes._ + _Prepare and present data in management-level presentations._ + _Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization._ + _Perform nonconformance and Corrective Action Processes_ **_Basic Qualifications Quality Analyst:_** + _Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of quality work experience; or Master’s and 0 years of quality work experience. Note: An additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree._ + _Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations._ + _Experience with AS9100 Quality Systems_ + _The ability to obtain a DoD security clearance_ + _U.S. citizen_ **_Basic Qualifications Principal Quality Analyst:_** + _Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of quality work experience; or Master’s and 3 years of quality work experience. Note: An additional 8 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree._ + _Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations._ + _Experience with AS9100 Quality Systems_ + _The ability to obtain a DoD security clearance_ + _U.S. citizen_ **_Preferred Qualifications:_** + _Intermediate to Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel_ + _Experience performing process and compliance audits._ + _Extensive experience with AS9100 Quality Systems_ + _Extensive experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations_ + _DoD secret security clearance_ _MANQMA_ Salary Range: $70,600.00 - $105,800.00Salary Range 2: $87,000.00 - $130,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
