Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Life Cycle Sustainment Organization (LCSO) Team as a Principal or Senior Principal Manufacturing Analyst based out of Elkridge, MD.
The Manufacturing Analyst will serve as an advisor to management and as a special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives. They will be an expert within the Production Control organization and demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, presentation, problem resolution, and process improvement skills; communicate effectively and clearly using technical approaches and findings; be comfortable communicating with internal and external customers, including with cross-functional teams; and contribute to the development of new techniques, standards and training.
The Manufacturing Analyst will have demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors from past projects, roles or experiences and the ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately in a challenging environment.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Plan, organize, and drive the timely flow of product through Manufacturing to support internal and external customer delivery requirements
Manage and provide schedule status and visibility of hardware for assigned programs, from the time of initial kit conversion, through manufacturing process, to delivery of hardware to internal and/or external customers
Collaborate with suppliers, MRP group, manufacturing, program management, and operations management to ensure performance metrics are met and reported to leadership monthly (on time to release, maintaining last touch average of 15 days, out of cycle average age under 75 days, quality, cost, on time to delivery, etc.)
Utilize Tableau and other systems to analyze and maintain SAP metric, i.e. Aging Orders, and Overdue hours, 'Confirmed not Delivered' orders, floor stock inventory control, and the resolving of material shortages as they’re late to open production orders
Determine stock availability, assess material source (in-house vs external) and requirements for non-standard parts, and create acquisition requests
Analyze lead times and identify critical path procurements
Initiate material procurement and manage procurement processing
Review material depletion analysis to provide specific recommendations for spare/repair parts and support equipment positioning
Manage and control asset locations and allocation of customer inventories and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
Monitor inventory and material allocations for accuracy
Support various DOD and commercial customers in a depot environment
This requisition may be filled as a Principal Manufacturing Analyst or a Senior Principal Manufacturing Analyst.
Basic Qualifications for the Principal Manufacturing Analyst:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field
Experience with MRP/ERP business system experience (SAP preferred)
Experience with MS Office suite with emphasis on strong Excel/data analysis skills
Experience leading projects and/or people
Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications for the Senior Principal Manufacturing Analyst:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field
Experience utilizing MRP/ERP business system (SAP preferred)
Proficiency in MS Office suite with emphasis on strong Excel/data analysis skills
Experience leading projects and/or people
Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
APICS/ASCM CPIM certification
Experience with digital visionary
Prior production planning experience
Experience working within a depot environment supporting various DOD and commercial customers
Experience with Northrop Grumman tools related to job function (SAP, GOLD, ISE, Cadstar)

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $168,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
