The Principal Member of Technical Staff role is part of a prestigious technical career program designed for engineers dedicated to working on new and emerging technologies. Top 3 Requirements + Educational & Experience Background: Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience paired with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields. + Technical Expertise: At least 6+ years of progressive experience delivering high-volume, high-transaction Java-based applications using Java, Spring framework, and REST APIs. + Domain Knowledge: Minimum 4+ years of experience in wired broadband and/or wireless service management. Ideal Candidate Profile + Industry Experience: Internal candidates or professionals with telecom industry experience matching the above qualifications. + End-to-End Ownership: Demonstrated ability to lead ideas from concept through full implementation, ensuring seamless execution throughout the product lifecycle. + Collaborative Leadership: Acts as the essential “glue” across cross-functional teams, fostering alignment, communication, and driving deliverables to completion. + Technical & Managerial Balance: Strong engineering foundation combined with leadership insight to bridge technical execution and strategic goals effectively. + Innovative Problem-Solver: Exhibits a “what if?” mindset, driven by curiosity and creativity to explore innovative solutions and design complex systems, such as home automation or forward-looking connectivity features. Key Roles and Responsibilities + Apply advanced engineering and scientific knowledge to architecture, design, and development in a Research & Development environment focused on emerging technologies and high-value solutions. + Lead design and development efforts for new products, technical architectures, hardware/software engineering, security, and QA design/certification. + Serve as a subject matter expert during continuous integration/continuous deployment cycles in production environments, focusing on complex design and engineering challenges. + Collaborate across teams to ensure technical solutions align with business strategies and customer needs, driving innovation in broadband and wireless service domains. Experience & Education Requirements + PhD in an approved STEM field with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience, or + Master’s degree in an approved STEM field with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience, or + Bachelor’s degree in an approved STEM field with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
