About the Team

The Workforce Engagement and Development (WED) team supports SR's mission to build a more agile, skilled, and engaged workforce by designing, executing, and facilitating people and culture strategies and programs that enhance employee engagement and career development.

Specific Projects/assignments may include, but are not limited to:

Conducting research to identify best practices, tips and resources to inform the development of various team initiativesDeveloping and curating content for the team's sites on SharePoint OnlineWriting and editing content for publication in division newsletters and other communication vehiclesCompiling and/or analyzing data to prepare dashboards, briefings, and reports for organization leadersProviding planning and logistics support for training or other events aimed at fostering staff connection - Creating pre- and post-surveys based on team needs and reporting findings using the collected data

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a graduate level degree in an Industrial Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Data Analytics, or another related field of studyInterested in Human Capital Management, HR development, Human Capital Analytics/Technology

Notes:

Anticipated Work Hours: 40 hours per week during summer; 10-20 hours during school semesters.Anticipated Start Date: Summer 2026Location: This internship must be completed in Washington, DC throughout the entire duration of the internship.Candidates must be a US Citizen, and must be enrolled in a graduate level degree seeking program, graduating May 2027 or later.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts legal research (e.g., statutes, regulations, case law, policies).Writes memoranda, correspondence, case law briefs, and legislative summaries.Attends and participates in client meetings.

Requirements for Summer Law Clerk

Applicant must be a current 1L.Applicants should have an enthusiasm for seeking out opportunities to learn new legal skills; excellent oral communication, research, and writing skills; and initiative to see projects to completion while multi-tasking in a workplace environment.

Location

The internship location is in Washington, DC, primarily onsite. The internship includes participation in various Board events. In-person presence at these events is strongly recommended.

Remarks:

The role encompasses Linux system administration with a focus on DevSecOps tooling, including implementing, operating, and maintaining Linux-based GitLab CI/CD platforms. This involves installing and configuring GitLab on Linux systems, regularly updating GitLab and its components, and setting up and managing GitLab runners on both Linux systems and cloud-based VMs and containers. Container and artifact management are key responsibilities, including managing container registries integrated with GitLab, implementing policies for artifact storage and cleanup, and setting up GitLab runners using container images.

The position requires troubleshooting pipeline failures and bottlenecks, maintaining GitLab on a disaster recovery failover configuration, and troubleshooting GitLab CI/CD using tools like Splunk. Leading the design, build, and evolution of an enterprise DevSecOps platform is a core duty, ensuring secure, scalable, and repeatable solution delivery. This includes ensuring the platform's security and integrity, collaborating with development teams for seamless integration, and developing technical documentation, standards, and guidelines.

The role also involves monitoring and analyzing platform performance, developing and implementing security policies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Providing technical leadership to junior engineers, staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies, and applying this knowledge to continuously improve the DevSecOps platform are ongoing responsibilities.

Remarks:

The AI Program Product Manager leads enterprise technical AI initiatives, bridging cutting-edge AI capabilities with enterprise business needs. This role requires both technical expertise to evaluate emerging AI technologies and the strategic vision to guide organizational AI maturity. In this influential position, the successful candidate will build alignment across technical and business stakeholders while managing AI governance, vendor relationships, and product portfolio prioritization. Required skills include but are not limited to:

• Demonstrated knowledge and competence in artificial intelligence technologies and enterprise AI systems, achieved by completion of a degree(s) with the associated minimum years of related experience:

• Deep technical experience in modern AI/ML capabilities including prototyping and deploying LLMs, generative AI, and emerging AI systems (FR-28: expert-level knowledge of agentic AI, multimodal systems, reasoning models); understanding of AI deployment architectures and implementation techniques; hands-on experience with programming, data science, machine learning, NLP, and AI integration with analytics and business operations; proven ability to evaluate emerging AI capabilities.
• Demonstrated expertise in product management and delivery using established methodologies for AI products, platforms, or research initiatives including roadmap development, cross-functional alignment, and translating business needs into technical requirements; demonstrated ability managing complex initiatives with data-driven prioritization and measurable outcomes; experience guiding cross-functional teams and product owners without formal supervisory authority. (FR-28: deep understanding of portfolio development, program governance, and organizational maturity).
•Strategic thinking and planning capabilities with ability to synthesize complex information, apply systems thinking to enterprise challenges, and develop long-term AI strategies with actionable short- and medium-term execution (FR-28: proven ability to advise senior leadership on AI strategic direction and innovation decisions).
•Exceptional communication and stakeholder management with proven ability to articulate AI’s value and potential to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels; clear, concise verbal and written communication; proven ability building organizational buy-in and influencing without authority.
•AI governance and risk management knowledge including compliance frameworks, responsible AI practices, and model evaluation; understanding of risk management in complex contexts; stays current on AI trends and emerging capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), enterprise AI platforms (e.g., Domino, Databricks), and infrastructure management
•Vendor management including acquisitions, contract management, and relationship management
•Platform and infrastructure knowledge including DevOps, deployment pipelines, and data lifecycle management
•Experience working on a program using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
•Experience working with Gitlab and Jira tools for product and project management
•Experience in regulated environments (government, financial services, or similar)
•Experience coordinating technical teams (FR-28: 15-20 staff across workstreams)
