Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal Software Engineer based in McClellan, CA.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

What You'll Get to Do:

The selected candidates will participate in the entire software development lifecycle with a concentration in software engineering. The candidates will work closely with other software developers accomplishing the following:

Complete work independently and as a part of an Agile teamSupport team in completing necessary software on scheduleSolve complex problems through innovative and creative solutionsCollaborate with software designers and/or software engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of software systemsRegularly demonstrate progress to customers

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience, or PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 years of experience Experience with Docker containerization, Kubernetes (K8s, K5s)Experience with Python, C++, LinuxAbility to obtain/maintain access to work on-site in McClellan, CAAbility to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearanceMust be able to demonstrate a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities achieving sustainable quality products.Must have a proven track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
