The role is with one of the Fusion 360 team in the Design and Manufacturing Organization within the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division. We are looking for a Principal Engineer to join our Pune-based Scrum team.

Responsibilities

Work on a truly Agile team, 2-week-long sprints, and a strong emphasis on test automation for all code changesDesign, implement, test, and maintain features for Fusion 360 based on stakeholders’ requirements, mostly in C++Fully own the quality of work delivered, have a strong sense of ownership for delivering excellence.Proactive in writing the technical design documents, participating in design and code reviews, developing estimates for the tasks, and documenting code.Work closely and iteratively with developers, quality team, and user experience designersWork with an extended team of software developers, quality team, and product designers in India and other worldwide engineering sitesFlexible and respond quickly to multiple priorities under changing conditionsProgram primarily in C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows, and Xcode on OS XPresent and participate in global technical discussions and technical events.Mentor and coach other team members.Passionate about customer success.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fieldExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English8+ years of industry experience building and delivering robust, performant, and maintainable commercial applicationsStrong C++ and Data Structures, Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, Computer Science fundamentalsExperience with QT, Python, Jenkins, JSON and JavaScriptExperience with AI tools (example: Copilot) usageLeadership experience as a Team Lead or Tech Lead in previous rolesOutstanding programming, debugging, and problem-solving skillsWindows programming and experience with Microsoft Visual Studio IDEMac programming and experience with Xcode IDEAbility to learn large software systems quicklyExperience with Jira & GitExperience with VS Code and CursorExperience building and consuming HTTP and other types of APIsExperience in all aspects of application development, including graphics, command line interface, database, and functional capabilitiesExperience with system-level thinking and designingExcellent collaboration, influence, and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in CAD 3D and 2D software developmentExperience with Agile software development practicesExperience with AI tools (example: Copilot) usageExperience with Design and Manufacturing DrawingsExperience with ObjectARX
