Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Principal Cyber Systems Test Engineer - Test Stations (Level 3) OR Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Test Engineer - Test Stations (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test & Evaluation organization in Melbourne, FL.
As the Cyber Systems Test Engineer (Level 3) - Test Stations you will support the integration and testing of various systems within our cyber infrastructure. This role involves coordinating all cyber aspects related to avionics equipment integration, hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) simulations, and other advanced testing environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with cyber systems integration and a strong understanding of testing methodologies, ensuring that all systems meet performance and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in the integration of avionics equipment into testing environments, ensuring compatibility and performance standards are met.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing, providing expertise in the setup and execution of simulations.
• Collaborate with teams to develop and maintain aircraft simulations that accurately reflect operational scenarios.
• Manage and configure cyber lab racks to facilitate effective testing and integration of various systems.
• Oversee the Cyber integration of the Test Stations within the labs across the program.
• Participate in the setup and operation of Test Stations, such as the Mission System Integration Test Station (MSITS) and the Vehicle System Integrated Test Station (VSITS), for comprehensive system testing.
• Implement and manage cyber networking solutions to ensure secure and efficient communication between test systems and components.
• Document testing procedures, results, and best practices to support ongoing quality assurance and compliance efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve integration issues and ensure successful system performance.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to test station engineering and cyber systems.

Principal Cyber Systems Test Engineer (Level 3) - Test Stations
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
Ability and willingness to support alternate work schedules, weekends, extended work weeks and travel (~10%) to support program activities and integration.
Must possess a current DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent).
Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Test Engineer - Test Stations (Level 4)
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 6 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 4 years of related professional/military experience.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with avionics equipment integration and testing methodologies.Experience with test data acquisition systems, data configuration and collection software, as well as database development for measurand and test dataFamiliarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing and its application in system simulations.Knowledge of aircraft simulation technologies and their integration into testing environments.Knowledge of telemetry, onboard recording, data acquisition system equipment (Safran, TTC/Curtiss-Wright, and Quasonix for example…) and ground stationsExperience working with Lab Racks and understanding their operational requirements.Proficiency in cyber systems integration and networking principles.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.#AS-FA3
Primary Level Salary Range: $108,200.00 - $162,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $135,000.00 - $202,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
