Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector has an opening for a Principal Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.  This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

The Principal Configuration Management Analyst will support a wide array of tasks associated with both configuration and data management disciplines of a large program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Identification

Assign and control program hardware/software data identification control numbers per program & Functional Home Room (FHR) mandates

Enforce and assign part number and serial number requirements

Change Management

Perform Technical Review Board (TRB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities

Establish agendas, publish minutes & track meeting actions

Process change packages through lifecycle include disposition and documentation/hardware implementation

Perform program data release functions via Product Lifecycle management tools

Configuration Status Accounting

Develop & maintain various Configuration Data Management (CDM) reports for program support; examples include Configured Item Identification Lists, Engineering Change Request status, and CDM performance metrics

Verification & Audits

Support internal program CDM audits against program Statement of Work (SOW) and Functional Command Media mandates

Provide aid to Functional Configuration Audits & perform Physical Configuration Audit

Perform Document Management for deliverable Subcontractor Data Requirements List (SDRL) and non-SDRL documents

Basic Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelors degree with 5 years of related professional/ military experience OR a Masters degree with 3 years of related professional/ military experience; 4 additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Advanced Excel and SharePoint for file management

Well-organized, detailed-oriented self-starter who enjoys challenges and works well in teams and independently

Exceptional organizational skills to include the ability to multitask and be deadline driven

Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

Experience with databases, such as Product Data Management (PDM)

Understanding of DoD Contracts to include interpreting SDRL requirements

Knowledge of configuration management principles and best practices to include configuration status accounting 

Experience with large-scale, cross-functional program teams

Familiarity with Configuration Management Standards, such as: MIL-STD-130, ANSI/EIA-649, MIL-HDBK-61, E221-MSO, E221A-MSO

Experience developing and maintaining program plans and process documents

Preferred Qualifications:

Proposal experience, such as authoring Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for CM tasking

Experience with Technical Writing and Editing

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
