Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Software Analyst in Roy Utah to develop SolarWinds dashboards and configure modules for monitoring various types of server, application, and network components.

Our ideal candidate will be proficient in SQL queries for database management and be familiar with PowerShell scripting.

Roles and Responsibilities include but shall not be limited to:

Establish and document SolarWinds monitoring, notifications, and incident mitigation.Upgrade and maintain SolarWinds application, modules, licensing and hardware.Provide technical guidance and training to network operation center (NOC) admins.

This will role will require candidates who possess the ability to maintain flexibility in managing changing priorities and deadlines. Candidates must be self-starters who operate and execute with minimal supervision, as well as the ability to verbally communicate and document SolarWinds findings with management team.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a Master's; or 1 year with a PhD.

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Secret and Top-Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain clearance within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

• Must Possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II (Security+, etc.) or higher

• 1-3 years of experience with IT related hardware in a classified environment

• 2+ years' technical experience with SolarWinds system – monitoring, configuring and developing new dashboards and capabilities.

• Experience in Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Product Suites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related discipline.

• Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion

• Current Top-Secret clearance

• Willing to work in deadline driven environment, excellent communication skills speaking, writing skills and organized skills enabling effective communications.

• 5+ years technical SolarWinds experience

• Strong knowledge of internal Northrup Grumman IT processes and procedures a plus.

• CompTIA A+, Network+, Dell, HP, or other certifications helpful

• Experience with PowerShell or other scripting

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
