**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal Application Engineer to join our team, specializing in high-voltage GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology for datacenter power applications. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical innovation, define product strategy, and drive next-generation power architectures for hyperscale and enterprise datacenters.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Technical Leadership & Product Ownership: Serve as the technical lead for GaN-based datacenter power solutions, guiding architecture decisions and ensuring technical excellence across projects.
+ Product Definition & Strategy: Define new high-voltage GaN products optimized for datacenter workloads, aligning with efficiency, density, and sustainability goals.
+ Reference Design Development: Architect and deliver advanced reference designs for AC-DC front-end, DC-DC conversion, and rack-level power distribution tailored for datacenter environments.
+ Customer Engagement & Technical Advocacy: Partner with leading cloud and hyperscale customers, providing expert technical support and influencing design-in decisions.
+ Mentorship & Team Development: Coach and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
+ Thought Leadership: Publish technical papers and application notes showcasing GaN advantages in datacenter power architectures.
+ Feedback Integration: Relay customer insights to shape future product definitions and roadmap.
Qualifications
+ **Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred** (Bachelor’s required).
+ **12+ years of experience** in power electronics, with at least **4+ years in high-voltage GaN technology** .
+ Proven track record of **leading technical teams or projects** and delivering complex solutions.
+ Hands-on experience in AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC power electronics for **datacenter or cloud infrastructure** .
+ **Required experience with advanced topologies** such as:
+ **Totem-Pole PFC**
+ **Matrix converters**
+ **Multiphase LLC resonant converters**
+ Other **soft-switching topologies** for high-efficiency power conversion.
+ Strong fundamentals in power electronics and high-voltage GaN technology.
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and inspire teams.
+ Nice to have: Experience in firmware development for power electronics.
**Skills**
+ Proficiency in Altium schematic design and PCB layout.
+ Experience with simulation tools (Simetrix, Simplis, PLECS, LTSpice).
+ Knowledge of magnetic component development (inductors, transformers).
