As a Principal, Research Operations, you will lead the strategy and execution of programs that elevate and scale user research across the organization. With a scope that spans multiple products and systems, you will ensure that research operations run efficiently, support impactful work, and enhance the delivery of insights.You’ll serve as a trusted partner to senior leaders, guiding cross-functional teams and researchers to deliver high-quality work aligned to business goals. You will be accountable for the craft and operational rigor across the research practice and play a key role in shaping our roadmap through partnerships with 4iTB (Four-in-the-Box) teams.You’ll sweep us off our feet if you have...Deep expertise in research operations, with experience scaling processes, platforms, and governance across complex product ecosystems.A strong track record of mentoring researchers and ops professionals while turning organizational goals into actionable priorities.An ability to influence product and design decisions by aligning research operations with business objectives.Mastery of participant recruitment, knowledge management, tooling, and vendor relationships—plus a passion for continuous improvement.The ability to navigate and lead through ambiguity, prioritize high-impact work, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.Comfort working both strategically and tactically—developing future-facing plans while also optimizing present-day execution.A collaborative leadership style with experience guiding diverse teams and supporting their growth through clear context and direction.You’ll make an impact by:Leading research operations strategies that enable scale, increase efficiency, and drive excellence in research planning and delivery.Designing and evolving systems for participant management, data governance, research repositories, and cross-functional coordination.Proactively identifying gaps in team capability, tooling, and knowledge—and building the infrastructure to close them.Partnering closely with Research, Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to shape the user-centric product roadmap.Coaching researchers and research ops team members, contributing to their growth and our inclusive team culture.Creating visibility for research value through storytelling, metrics, and strategic communication with partners and stakeholders.Taking on critical responsibilities beyond your immediate domain to support broader team leadership and operational health.Preferred qualifications:Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Research Operations, Social Sciences, Program Management, or related field.10+ years of experience in research, UX operations, or program management roles—preferably in complex, matrixed organizations.Strong knowledge of research methods, tooling ecosystems (e.g. UserTesting, Dovetail, Airtable), and stakeholder management.Demonstrated experience building high-functioning research ops systems at scale.Exceptional communication, systems thinking, and the ability to lead with both vision and precision.Perks and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 5 years’ experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.
Option 2: 7 years' experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.

Driving product development in a design research area, Market Research, Business Analysis, UX Design Research, or related area, Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area, Related industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare), Research or design certification (for example, IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate), We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
