Primary Care Internal Medicine Physician
Job Overview

Fairview is seeking an Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Physician to join our primary care practice at M Health Fairview Clinic – Woodwinds.


Responsibilities

Examines patients, formulates differential diagnostic plans, defines and orders required diagnostic testing. Provides preventative, chronic disease, and acute care depending on the need of the clinic site. Ensures proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene.Interprets examination findings and test results and implements treatment plans. Refers patient to medical specialist or another practitioner when necessary.Completes medical record and electronic order management (via in basket); and completes cross coverage depending on site needs. Follows organization policies and procedures and protocols.Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case managementParticipates in utilization and quality tools and activities that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows.Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned

Practice Details:

Join a team of 21 providers.Average patient volume of approximately 16–24 patients per dayOpening: 1.0 FTE (34 patient contact hours) - flexible schedule. Fully integrated electronic medical record (Epic)

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency training program.BC/BE with the ABMS or AOA.Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges if applicable.

Compensation Disclaimer

The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills,knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Positions withthe same min/max are flat rate jobs based on 40 hours/week. Compensation plans based on production can allow for higher pay than the range posted.
