Pricing Direct Evaluator – High Yield Associate

As a Pricing Direct Evaluator – HY Associate, you will join a revenue-generating team that provides independent pricing and analytics for millions of fixed income and derivative instruments, utilizing real-time market intelligence from buy-side and sell-side market participants. You will play a crucial role in providing accurate and insightful valuations, which are essential for our clients' investment decisions and risk management strategies.
Job responsibilities
Generate daily valuations of high yield credit products for multiple market closes, entailing start-to-end responsibilities. This includes market data collection and analysis, price generation, quality control, and dealing with client queries. Develop and maintain sophisticated models or matrices, aiming to improve pricing and quality control processes. Update data and generate reports via extensive coding in python and or VBA. Collaborate with trading desks, market participants, and research teams to enhance market knowledge and understanding of market pricing. Address all client concerns daily with an emphasis on providing first-class service and quality, whether via emails, calls, or in-person meetings. Explore new areas of product growth with a focus on autonomously developing innovative ideas and solutions. Assist teams with presentation materials, slide decks for conferences, webinars and timely execution of ad-hoc projects.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
2+ years of experience in fixed income. Firm understanding of the principles of fixed income, cashflows, various bond and loan types, including convertibles. Strong coding skills in python and VBA, advanced excel knowledge. Experience using Bloomberg or Reuters Eikon terminals. Ability to collect and analyze large amounts of market information, extract its essence, and incorporate the findings into valuation matrices and processes. Clear, logical thinker with strong quantitative abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment of real-time market pressures, remaining focused on client needs. Bachelor's degree or higher, ideally in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Finance.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with pricing, evaluating syndicated term loans, private credit, high yield corporates or convertibles, is strongly preferred. Familiarity with pricing methodologies and structures of different fixed income instruments (corporate bonds, emerging markets, some securitized products) is ideal. Knowledge of various machine learning models and tools is a plus. Great communication skills, both oral and written. Progress towards CFA helpful, but not immediately required.
