Job Title: Pricing/Logistics Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Pricing Specialist to manage and respond to daily pricing requests for new and existing customers, ensuring compliance with operational policies and maintaining up-to-date pricing information. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and ocean freight, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
Manage and respond to daily pricing requests in accordance with assigned due dates or service level agreements.Ensure compliance with operational policies by validating commodities and identifying embargoed countries.Log notes on every pricing activity to communicate effectively with relevant operations staff.Monitor and report monthly progress towards assigned goals and KPIs to management.Develop rapport with stakeholders to maintain up-to-date pricing for accessorial charges.Collaborate with management and peers to identify best practices and improve pricing activities.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills
International logistics experience.Experience with ocean freight.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Freight forwarding knowledge.Customer service and data entry skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in logistics and supply chain management.Work Environment
This position is based on-site at the Southfield, MI location, requiring 2-3 days a week in the corporate office environment. You will have the opportunity to grow within a large logistics organization.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Southfield, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
