Pricing Analyst

As a Pricing Analyst, you will prepare bids for public sector opportunities for categories including:  office supplies, school supplies, facilities supplies, breakroom, and technology.   You will leverage your analytic skills and be part of a winning team collaborating with sales, supply chain, merchandising, and legal teams. 

What you will be doing:

Prepare customer-specific pricing to support new business opportunities and renewals in alignment with Staples pricing strategy and governance rules.Analyze customer requests, pricing history, and cost-to-serve data to develop accurate pricing proposals and Deal P&Ls.Partner with Sales, Finance, and Pricing teams to communicate pricing strategies, assumptions, and financial impacts.Implement approved pricing accurately in enterprise systems and ensure compliance with established controls.Track pricing projects, manage deadlines, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn pricing concepts and systems.

What’s needed: Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED1-2 years of experience in pricing, finance, analytics, or business support roles.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and basic data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience supporting pricing, bids, contracts, or deal analysis in a B2B environment.Exposure to margin, cost-to-serve, or P&L analysis.Advanced Excel skills or familiarity with ERP, pricing, or CRM systems.
