Pricing Actuarial Associate

Purpose:

We are seeking an actuarial professional to support Athene’s reinsurance platform, joining a highly visible team at the center of Athene’s Asia-Pacific and global growth strategy.

The role spans new business pricing and in-force transaction management, with hands-on involvement across deal execution, onboarding, and ongoing performance oversight. You will collaborate closely with teams across Pricing, Risk, Finance, Investments, and Apollo, working across multiple geographies.

This position also offers meaningful opportunities to develop models, enhance pricing frameworks, and build scalable, well-governed processes, directly supporting Athene’s expanding reinsurance business and entry into new global markets.


Accountabilities:

Job Responsibilities

Build and enhance pricing models to evaluate potential flow reinsurance transactions.Analyze deal profitability and risk profiles, and develop clear, actionable recommendations.Support the onboarding of new business into financial reporting processes.Develop, maintain, and improve pricing tools to support scalable, repeatable analysis.Review and validate team outputs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and sound judgment.Present and communicate pricing results and key insights to management and stakeholders.


Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or related fieldAssociate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or actively pursuing ASA, or equivalent qualification of other Actuarial professional organization1-4 years’ actuarial experience in the life insurance industry with exposure to long term (re)insurance productsStrong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage several projects is a mustDemonstrated desire to take initiative and run with projectsExperience with fixed rate and indexed annuities strongly preferredProficient in MS Office suite and any actuarial valuation software. SQL, Python, and any database or programing experience are desirableAbility to interact with internal senior management and client company managementAbility to view “big picture”, understand broad corporate impacts, and focus on company objectivesExcellent oral and written English language skills



Annual Salary for this role is market competitive.  Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.  Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
