What to Expect: As a Preventative Maintenance Tech II you will bring the ability to perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment, install new mfg. equipment, follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and proper PPE use, and demonstrate basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. It involves installing new manufacturing equipment, completing accurate PM tasks, using the CMMS.

Your Role Day to Day: As a Preventative Maintenance Tech II you will handle general maintenance tasks such as minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs, HVAC support, filter and bulb changes, painting, and equipment or furniture moves. The job also includes operating forklifts and lifts, transporting equipment, supporting production maintenance, assisting senior technicians, supervising subcontractor work, maintaining customer and vendor relationships, documenting parts and materials, and keeping a clean, safe work area while working effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.

What you will have (Basic Requirements):

2 years of minimum cumulative experience performing industrial maintenance, corrective, preventive, and testing in a manufacturing facilityAbility to read and interpret blueprints and equipment diagramsSafe and effective use of common maintenance tools (carpentry, plumbing, assembly, etc.)

Top Candidates Will Also Have (Preferrred Requirements):

Prior experience within a Caterpillar facilityMechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot, repair, and installation of manufacturing machine componentsExperience utilizing CMMS

Summary Pay Range:

$25.00 - $32.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
