Preventative Maintenance Technician | 25 HR
**Job Title: Preventative Maintenance Engineer | $22-25 HR** **Job Description** As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing maintenance, repair, and labor functions related to corrective and preventative maintenance of buildings and grounds. Your role will include performing minor installations and repairs of electrical equipment and plumbing systems, as well as minor carpentry and painting tasks. You will also ensure the repair of lighting systems by replacing ballasts, light bulbs, and other components as needed. Additionally, you may inspect and repair exit signs and emergency lights, monitor HVAC equipment and systems, read meters and gauges, and record temperatures and pressure readings. **Responsibilities** + Provide maintenance, repair, and labor functions related to corrective and preventative maintenance of buildings and grounds. + Perform minor installation and repair of electrical equipment and plumbing systems; engage in minor carpentry and painting tasks. + Repair lighting systems by replacing ballasts, light bulbs, and other components as required. + Inspect and repair exit signs and emergency lights. + Monitor HVAC equipment and systems; read meters and gauges; record temperatures and pressure readings. + Prepare buildings for functions and events by setting up bleachers, rails, tables, and equipment, and checking timing devices and P.A. system. + Work with other classifications such as skilled trades to complete tasks and learn new skills. + Rotate work assignments between buildings, zones, or other repair facilities. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Facilities maintenance + Electrical + Plumbing + Commercial maintenance + HVAC + Preventive maintenance + Mechanical **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 3+ years of facilities maintenance experience + 3+ years of experience in Commercial Plumbing, Electrical, or HVAC (2 of 3 required) + Valid license and clean driving record **Why Work Here?** Enjoy an incredible benefits package with aggressive PTO accrual, 11 paid holidays, unlimited sick days, and a paid shutdown from December 22nd to January 3rd. You will work on a 1,157-acre campus in Kent, Ohio, covering various parts of the campus. You will report to facilities management, where custodial, grounds, movers/laborers, fleet service, maintenance, and trades report. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, OH. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
