**Job Title: Preventative Maintenance Engineer**
Job Description
As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing maintenance, repair, and labor functions related to corrective and preventative maintenance of buildings and grounds. Your role will include performing minor installation and repair of electrical equipment and plumbing systems, conducting carpentry and painting tasks, and repairing lighting systems by replacing ballasts, light bulbs, and other components as required. You will also monitor HVAC equipment and systems, read meters and gauges, and record temperatures and pressure readings. Additionally, you will prepare buildings for functions and events by setting up equipment, rails, and tables, and checking timing devices and P.A. systems. You may be assigned to work with other classifications, such as skilled trades, to complete tasks and learn new skills, with work assignments potentially rotating between buildings, zones, or other repair facilities.
Responsibilities
+ Perform maintenance, repair, and labor functions for buildings and grounds.
+ Execute minor installation and repair of electrical equipment and plumbing systems.
+ Conduct minor carpentry and painting tasks.
+ Repair lighting systems by replacing ballasts, light bulbs, and other components.
+ Inspect and repair exit signs and emergency lights.
+ Monitor HVAC equipment and systems, including reading meters and gauges.
+ Prepare buildings for functions and events, such as setting up equipment and checking systems.
+ Collaborate with skilled trades to complete tasks and acquire new skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 3+ years of facilities maintenance experience
+ 3+ years of Commercial Plumbing, Electrical, or HVAC (2 of 3 required)

Work Environment
This is a 1st shift position with working hours from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The role is based on a 1,157-acre campus in Kent, Ohio, covering various parts of the campus. You will report to facilities management, where custodial, grounds, movers/laborers, fleet service, maintenance, and trades teams are managed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Ohio.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
