**Job Title: Press Operator** **Job Description** The Press Operator will lead the forge crew in forging operations. They will direct the crew in forging, moving, and loading materials into furnaces, scheduling orders, and coordinating with other departments for material movement throughout the plant. **Responsibilities** + Lead forge crew in forging operations on presses and rolling mill. + Read and understand forge instructions and notes, translating them to press operations. + Identify and maintain material identification throughout the forge process. + Assist in loading and unloading materials in furnaces. + Drive manipulators for advanced material movement in and out of furnaces and around press equipment. + Perform other related duties as requested. **Essential Skills** + Production experience. + Proficiency with press brake operations. + Ability to read and accurately measure using calipers and other instruments. + Understanding of how different metals forge and act. + Knowledge of overall material manufacturing processes. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in leading forge crew in forging operations. + Ability to coordinate movement of materials throughout the plant. **Work Environment** The work environment involves working closely with forge equipment, including presses and rolling mills.
