Temp-to-Hire position$20.00 /hourFull Time work availableWeekend work requiredFirst Shift (07:00am to 07:00pm)Set billet length, furnace temperature, ram speed, and puller programs for optimal production and quality.Monitor metal for quality issues (pick up, tear out, die lines), adjust setups, and report problems to Foremen/Lead Person.Assist with setups, teardowns, changeovers, die changes, and roll logs as needed; minimize downtime by preparing dies and bolsters in advance.Check dies, bolsters, and special equipment setups (water boxes, pans, cooling fans) before starting jobs.Perform daily equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and complete PM checklists; ensure power is off before maintenance.Complete required paperwork, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and follow all safety rules.Press Operator Qualifications:
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and ability to work with U.S. weight, volume, and distance measurements.Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions and apply common sense to solve routine problems.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.Experience operating a tow motor or similar equipment is preferred.Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
