**Job Title: Press Operator** **Job Description** The Press Operator will be responsible for the proper set-up, operation, quality, and changeover of Flexographic Printing Presses. This role demands leadership in areas such as Lean Manufacturing, ISO quality systems, innovation, and current systems technology. **Responsibilities** + Perform all duties and responsibilities assigned to the press operator position. + Follow all established Standard Work to maintain quality standards and production schedules. + Lead and participate in the changeover process to improve efficiencies. + Promote and adhere to all established Standard Work procedures. + Sustain 6’s requirements for work and staging areas. + Operate the printing press properly while maintaining equipment quality and performance. + Participate in daily shift meetings within the work group to ensure effective communication of details and production concerns. + Utilize established tools to enhance efficiencies and communication within the production team. + Drive efficiencies on the press floor with effective use of support staff and clear communication. **Essential Skills** + 1-2 years of high-level machine operation experience, preferably in printing on narrow web flexographic machines. + Ability to perform very heavy work, including lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. + Proficiency in verbal communication in English, including following oral and written instructions. + Capability to walk, sit, or stand for extended periods based on duties. + Manual dexterity and visual acuity for computer keyboarding, equipment use, and reviewing detailed reports. + Color vision to accurately distinguish a wide variety of colors used in the printing process. + Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends, and attend events/meetings as needed. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in machine setup and changeover processes. + Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. + Familiarity with ISO quality systems. + Leadership skills in innovation and current systems technology. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a competitive benefits program including 401K, health, dental, and vision.
