Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining various press equipment to ensure high-quality production output. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of offset printing processes and mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, adjust, and operate a variety of press equipment.Perform make-ready tasks including hanging plates, installing cylinders, and prepping blankets.Inspect plates and cylinders for imperfections and verify image positioning.Adjust tension, register, and color to meet quality specifications.Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on press equipment.Replace worn or broken parts and perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.Required QualificationsIn-depth knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, and specifications.Familiarity with press equipment capabilities and safety protocols.Ability to read and interpret job specifications and technical documentation.Proficiency in using micrometers for plate mounting and alignment.Experience in routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs.Preferred SkillsExperience with color matching and correction.screen printing and machine operation.Knowledge of spectrophotometry and ink formulation.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a dynamic manufacturing facility that requires adaptability to a fast-paced and technically demanding environment. Candidates must be comfortable working with complex machinery and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
