Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Shear Brake Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crimping down metal end caps on wire mesh and cutting materials to size using shear brake equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesOperate shear brake machinery to crimp metal end caps on wire mesh.Accurately measure and cut materials to specified sizes.Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.Document production activities and maintain accurate records.Essential SkillsProven experience as a Shear Brake Operator or similar role.Strong understanding of metalworking and fabrication processes.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to measure to 1/16 of an inch.Operate Brake/Shear press accurately and safely.Blueprint reading and interpretation.Experience in fabrication and machine operation.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role involves prolonged periods of standing and operating machinery, requiring good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina. You must be able to lift and move heavy materials while maintaining a clean and safe workspace. The shift operates from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with optional hours available on Fridays and Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manheim, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
