Job Description
The Press Assistant role is responsible for the setup and support of printing presses in accordance with the printing specifications and customer requirements. This position involves training and several duty requirements to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
ResponsibilitiesAssist the Operator with print jobs and quick changeovers to move efficiently to the next job.Perform external make-ready operations in preparation for changeover activities, such as changing from one label job to another.Engage in external clean-up activities following changeovers.Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment.Strip plates from cylinders.Locate dies to and from the press.Read and understand job tickets.Input data into the computer.Essential SkillsMachine operationProductionMechanically inclinedAdditional Skills & QualificationsPrevious printing experience is a significant advantage.Previous machine operating experience and mechanical understanding are helpful.Ability to follow directions and work well with others, demonstrating strong teamwork skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.50/hr.
