**🖨️** **Job Title:** **Prepress Operator** **🕒 Shift:** 1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM **💵 Pay:** $23–$30/hour (based on interview) **📋 Type:** Contract to Hire – Long-term opportunity **Job Overview** We’re looking for a skilled **Prepress Operator** to join a fast-paced envelope printing team. This role requires hands-on experience in **Prepress** and **Flexographic printing** , with the ability to make live adjustments during production. Ideal candidates will have experience in the print industry and be comfortable working with design software and plate-making equipment. **Key Responsibilities** + Prepare and process print files using a Macintosh desktop publishing system + Use Adobe Creative Suite to adjust graphics and layouts + Apply color management techniques for accurate reproduction + Operate plate maker for offset and Flexo printing; mount Flexo plates + Perform quality checks on plates before press + Collaborate with account managers to resolve design issues + Maintain a clean and organized work area **Required Skills** + Experience in prepress and Flexo operation + Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and file management software + Familiarity with color management in print production + Strong attention to detail and quality control + Ability to work under tight deadlines with professionalism **Additional Qualifications** + Minimum 1 year of printing experience + Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) + Ability to read a ruler + Strong communication skills in English + Prior experience with Flexo machines and relevant software preferred **Why Work Here** + Friendly, respectful work culture + Steady full-time hours with a consistent schedule + Opportunity for direct hire with full benefits after evaluation period + Occasional extended shifts available on Fridays/Saturdays **Work Environment** + Work independently and in pairs alongside Operators and Adjusters + Rotate between 8 machines in the production area + Climate-controlled but loud environment (ear protection provided) + Must be able to stand for 8-hour shifts, bend frequently, and lift 20–50 lbs **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
