Prepress Designer
**Job Title: Wide Format Prepress** Job Description As a Prepress Operator, you will play a crucial role in preparing customer-supplied files for print, ensuring color accuracy, and setting up files for wide-format printing. You will be responsible for performing preflight checks and troubleshooting file issues to minimize downtime, while collaborating with designers and account managers to maintain quality standards. Responsibilities + Review and prepare customer-supplied files for print, including PDF, AI, PSD, EPS, and TIFF formats. + Perform preflight checks to correct file issues and ensure color accuracy and proper resolution. + Set up files for wide-format printing such as banners, posters, signage, trade show graphics, and vehicle wraps. + RIP and nest files efficiently for print workflows using software such as XMF. + Collaborate with designers, account managers, and production staff to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards. + Manage color profiles, bleed, cut paths, and finishing requirements such as lamination, mounting, and trimming. + Troubleshoot file or RIP issues quickly to minimize downtime. + Maintain organized prepress workflow and follow company procedures. Essential Skills + 2+ years of experience in prepress for wide-format or large-format printing. + Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). + Experience in the printing industry. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with finishing processes such as lamination, mounting, and cutting. + Knowledge of ICC profiling and color calibration. + Familiarity with CNC/router or laser cutting workflows is a plus. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
