Overview We are seeking a Registered Nurse Preceptor (Transition To Practice)will mentor and train new nurses and nursing students. The RN Preceptor plays a crucial role in the preparation and development of new nursing staff, as well as in enhancing the skills of existing staff. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Works collaboratively with patients, patients’ family, significant other(s) and hospital staff to achieve goals and outcomes. Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:   + Current and valid state Registered Nurse license. + Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. + Completion of preceptor class. Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: + Previous acute care hospital experience preferred. + Ventilator Management experience preferred. + Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred. + Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current, preferred. + Previous acute care hospital experience preferred. + Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
